EVENT DESCRIPTION
The witches of Waters End lead a midnight adventure along a forest trail that leads to Batiquitos Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. Participants will be guided by a Waters End Academy witch who will highlight points of interest along the way. Expect to encounter a wide range of nocturnal creatures including toads, bats, owls and other birds of prey. Upon reaching the midpoint of the trail, participants will rest in a gazebo high atop a bluff overlooking the lagoon and nearby beach while their witch guide recounts the area’s haunted history. Learn about ghosts of shipwrecked sailors who haunt the inlet and lagoon, as well as a coven of wild witches that roam the banks of the lagoon and adjacent forest late at night.
Participants will be provided with candles or lanterns to aid their passage along the dark path.
This event is held year round on Friday and Saturday nights starting at sunset. During October, the event is held nightly and participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.
